Nordic walking and jogging offer the ideal combination of nature and fitness. You’ll discover the region in a special way on well-tended paths, and above all, the altitude and climate will give your body a good cardiovascular workout that will both strengthen and delight you!
Nordic walking tours are held regularly as part of the summer card. You’ll learn the right technique and experience wonderful tours through the region under expert guidance. Private courses and tours can also be booked at H2o Adventure extern.
Nordic Walking and running trails

Verwall (10 km)
Walk from the Arlberg WellCom extern (1,304 m) over the village park towards the west – at the roundabout turn right on the old Arlbergstrasse to the main road, and on to the Hotel Mooserkreuz (1,432 m). South of the federal road on the Verwallweg is the official start of the running and Nordic walking route. Follow the asphalt path after approx. 700 m downhill and left on the forest path. Go through the tunnel, then past the beehive, cross the Verwallweg and continue to the turning point of the ‘Salzhütte’ (1,484 m, 5 km). On the south side, come back past the power station to the bridge at the Wagner hut. Cross the Rosanna and walk along the road to the Arlberg WellCom. If you want, you can take the Verwall bus to the entrance at Hotel Mooserkreuz. Alternatively, you can climb or descend through the Rosanna Gorge.
Stanzertal (26.5 km)
Walk from the Arlberg WellCom extern (1,304 m) on the asphalt road of the old railway line eastwards to the Nassereinbahn; turn right over Dorfstraße – past the petrol station, and through the underpass of the main road to the Aubrücke (1,276 m). The official running and Nordic walking route begins here. Stay along the Rosanna River and slightly downhill to the Gander Bridge in St. Jakob. Cross the Rosanna and continue on the left bank to Pettneu (1,196 m, 5.5 km). Continue on the left to Schnann (1,167 m, 9 km). Cross the Rosanna here, and after approx. 150 m turn left through the railway underpass to Flirsch. Return to Schnann on the same route, then turn left to Pettneu, past the Wellnesspark and back to St. Anton am Arlberg.
