Winter and Snowshoe Hiking

Winter and Snowshoe Hiking

Alpine wellness

Crunching snow underfoot, a pleasant and clear mountain climate, and altitude training...all come as standard for winter hikers on our 80 kilometres of trails. You can choose from a total of 17 marked trails that’ll allow you to discover, for example, the beautiful and peaceful Verwall valley extern with the Wagner hut extern, or the circular Stanzertal path extern. There are shorter routes, too, such as the one to the Almfrieden inn extern above Pettneu or to the Egger Weiher extern in Strengen. And there’s also a new route 'Panorama trail Galzig' extern between the top stations of the Galzigbahn and St. Christophbahn. Due to the lower oxygen content at medium altitudes, many athletes use the winter hiking trails extern in St. Anton am Arlberg (1,304 metres) for fitness and endurance training.
