Alpe Rendl

Whether on two wheels or on foot, whether wide roads or narrow paths, the Alpe Rendl offers something for everyone. A popular route, especially for e-bikes, it leads from the River Rosanna in St. Anton am Arlberg to St. Jakob. There the path branches off to the right and leads up in a long winding serpentine trail to the top. Alternatively, you can tackle the steeper route through the forest.

Riding an e-bike gets you to the hut in about 50 minutes, and after a hearty and well earned snack, you can make your way back down through Rendl’s burning slopes. Past the Rendl mountain station, the route leads through the Moos valley back to the village. Hikers can also use the narrower paths, but if your delicious mountain lunch weighs you down, you can always take the Rendlbahn gondola down. From the Rendl mountain station, simply follow the signs ‘Alpenrosenweg’ and enjoy the magnificent views over the valley to Gampen, Galzig, and Valluga. And if you’re lucky enough to be here in July, the flowering alpine roses are a unique natural spectacle. The descent can be made via St. Jakob or via the Herzog Eugen-Weg directly back to the village.
