A world first in St. Anton am Arlberg: Ferris wheel Gondola system on the Galzig
The spectacular cableway innovation is based on a Ferris wheel which makes it possible for the guest to enter one of the 28 gondolas at ground level. Every gondola is brought down to floor height by a Ferris wheel, the guests then enter and are brought back up onto the cable by the Ferris wheel. Besides this special entry comfort the new Galzigbahn carrying capacity is increased by three times, waiting times in the valley are definitely a thing of the past.
Just like the technology, the glass building from the Tyrolean architect Georg Driendl is in itself fascinating, thanks to the transparency of the new Galzig valley station the impressive Ferris wheel with its advanced technology is just as good to see from the outside as from inside.

New Funslope on Galzig (Winter 2013/14)
The Arlberger Mountain Railway in cooperation with QParks have set up a new attraction between the Osthang and Zammermoos lifts: The Funslope.
The Funslope is a mixture of a slope and a snowpark with additional elements from ski cross. The elements in the Funslope partly resemble those which one knows from beginner snowparks, for example boxes and small jumps, however, other aspects like bridges, the tunnel and the "snail" differ, which the kids particularly love!
What is so special in the Funslope isits versatility, which permits every skier to use it in their own style and speed. The different elements are conceived both for beginners and for advanced sport lovers and which guarantee an extremely varied and thrilling time. One can meet new challenges or simply enjoy an amazing run, whatever the heart desires!
Just after the entry into the Funslope there are two small jumps, followed by a sharp turn, a trough and another sharp turn. After these thrilling actions comes a change of direction through a wave ride and then another two jumps follow. The next highlights are two corners which lead into further sharp turns, but the best comes at the end - the snail provides adrenalin filled action once again before the finish!
