With southerly winds, subtropical warm air will push forward to our area from the Mediterranean region on Sunday. The temperatures will keep increasing and midsummer will get into gear. A mostly sunny day is expected. The risk for thundery rain showers will be low even over the mountains. With foehny southerly winds, the conditions will remain mostly sunny and midsummer-like warm at the beginning of next week. Local heat thunderstorms will arise in the evening, which may be severe. Towards Tuesday, a disturbance front will brush against our area. The weather models are indicating its impact completely differently, consequently a concrete forecast cannot be given yet. Scattered downpours and thunderstorms will probably cross the area, moreover, the temperatures will slightly decrease. After this short damper the conditions will improve again.
