Out and about with the huskies
Become part of the husky pack
Excitement is in the air. From far away, the excited howling and joyful barking of Arun, Nanook, Iron and the many other sled dogs can be heard. Experience the most extraordinary breed of dog in the midst of a spectacular and beautiful winter landscape in St. Anton am Arlberg.
Experience Overview
While the sled is being prepared, you can continue getting to know the dogs. We’ll explain the details of the experience and offer tips for interacting with the sled dogs. Once 5 to 6 of our Huskies are harnessed - an event in itself - your adventure begins.
Each participant will have the opportunity to ride once, seated at the front of the sled, for a distance of 1,2 to 1,6 km, experiencing the beauty of nature from the dogs’ perspective.
During the ride, we’ll provide information about sled dogs, sled dog sports, and our own dogs, and we’ll continue to share these details with participants who are waiting in the Trapper Camp. We are always available to answer any questions you may have.
Since we’ll be in a larger group, the length of the course has been adjusted out of consideration for our Huskies, and each participant will take their turn riding one after the other. Nonetheless, this introductory tour will give you valuable insights into the world of sled dogs.
While you wait for your turn, you can warm up in the Trapper Camp with a hot drink and continue learning interesting facts about sled dogs and the sport. Please note that each participant will ride the distance only once.
