Leutkircher Hütte

Starting from the St. Anton am Arlberg Tourism Association, the ascent to the Leutkircher Hütte takes about three hours. The path leads through the district of Nasserein and further through the Schönbach valley. After a short forest stretch, the path leads over pastures and meadows up to the hut. There’s nearly 1000 metres of altitude difference from beginning to end, but the magnificent views into the Stanzertal, to the Hohen Riffler, Rendl and Zwölferkopf are well worth the walk uphill.

Alternatively, you can shorten your hike by taking the chairlift to Kapall. From there, the path leads towards the main crest, passing under the rock falls of the Weißschrofen and Bacherspitze, to the Almajurjoch and on to the hut.

You can either return on the same path, or via a detour to the Putzen Alpe in St. Anton am Arlberg. The path down into the valley also branches off via the Nessler Alm to Pettneu.

An overnight stay at the Leutkircher Hütte enables a next day visit to the Kaiserjochhaus and Ansbacher Hütte. And if you want to cycle part of the way, you can use the road to the Putzen Alpe or to the Nessleralm, and hike from there to the hut. In the video, they hike on to the nearby mountain, Hirschpleiskopf.
