Flower Walks
Blooming mountains
The Arlberg is known for its variety of flowers. In addition to meadow flowers, the burning slopes on Rendl also attract visitors. These beautiful natural treasures can also be discovered on various flower and herb hikes as part of our summer card programme.
The meadow path in Nasserein leads over the forest path to the Putzenalpe. On this path you can marvel at beautiful meadow flowers. It descends in St. Jakob am Arlberg, via the Jakobsweg to St. Anton am Arlberg.
Starting from St. Anton am Arlberg, or from the Rendl mountain station, the Alpenrosenweg offers a special natural spectacle at the beginning of summer – thousands of small flowers cover and colour the slopes pink.
This hike takes you on foot or by chairlift to Kapall, via the Höhenweg to Leutkircher Hut and on to Kaiserjochhaus. The descent is into Pettneu via the Nessler Alm – walking time approx. 10 hours. Alpine experience required!
Different types of gentian, approx. 25 types of orchids, arnica, daffodils, anemones, devil's claw, hawkweed, tiger lilies, turkenbund lilies, alpine roses, etc. So many flowers, in fact, that you can admire a different bloom every week.
