Alpe Ganatsch

The Ganatsch Alp in Schnann is a hidden natural wonder. One route begins in Schnann, near the OMV petrol station. After the underpass, the path begins at the edge of the woodland and leads upwards in many serpentines. Another route starts in Flirsch and leads through the “Mösli”. In this beautiful and protected natural reserve, visitors will find all sorts of vegetation that have grown here since the Ice Age: barren glaciers, lichens and mosses, dwarf shrubs and forests of larch, spruce and Swiss stone pine. Hikers should not miss a visit of this peaceful oasis. The Mösli can be reached from the Ganatsch Alp within a 30 minutes’ walk. If you want to continue your tour, you can extend the hike with an ascent to the “Mittagsspitze”. After a culinary break, you can head back down into the valley either in the direction of Schnann or Flirsch.
