Your vacation in Flirsch

Spring. Summer. Autumn. Winter.

The pretty little village of Flirsch, sitting at 1,157 meters, is embedded in the western high Alps in the Stanzertal between Landeck and St. Anton am Arlberg. Its name derives from the Rhaeto-Romanic word for flowers, and the area is still renowned to this day for its diverse range of flora. In addition to the 14th century parish church of St. Bartholomew, the Lourdes Chapel and the traditional carving shop are all well worth a visit. The noble municipal office in Flirsch was once the mansion of the Draxl industrialist family, and the square in front of it was dedicated to the slalom World and Olympic champion, Mario Matt, who was born in Flirsch.

Flirsch is the starting point for numerous mountain and hiking tours of varying degrees of difficulty. A special highlight is the sunrise hike extern to the Ganatschalm, or even to the Mittagsspitze, as well as a visit to the Mösli nature reserve. The wide forest paths make the Ganatschalm an ideal destination for (e-) bikers as well. High above the mountain, there are also tours to the Fritzhütte and the Ansbacher Hütte. You can also follow traces of the past on the theme paths ‘Flirsch in alten Ansichten’ and the ‘Kapellenrundwanderweg’.
