Themed trails in the region

Significant remnants from past centuries, myths of witches and magicians, buildings steeped in history: interesting facts about the St. Anton am Arlberg region can not only be found in books, but experienced on site at best in the natural surroundings.

An information panel in Flirsch, mounted on the chapel wall, offers historical insights into the Antonius Chapel with text and images.
The baroque interior of the Antonius Chapel in Flirsch features an ornate altar, statues of saints, and a modest wooden prayer room.
A metal silhouette with an information panel stands along the Schnann themed trail, overlooking the village of Flirsch and the surrounding mountains.
The Stiegenegg Chapel is idyllically situated in a sun-dappled forest. This small stone chapel with a wooden roof and bell tower rests on a natural plateau and can be reached via a woodland path.

Rosanna Gorge & Stiegenegg Chapel

Accompanied by the rushing waters of Rosanna River, the tour starts off in a westerly direction from St. Anton along a gently ascending hiking trail. Secured walkways through the Rosanna Gorge allow visitors to enjoy the thrilling experience of watching the raging waters. Shortly after the U-turn in the Verwall Trail, the path climbs a little to the Stiegenegg Chapel, which sits enthroned atop a rocky cliff. Commemorative plaques can be found here, so-called “Marteln”, in memory of the many people who tragically lost their lives here while working chopping trees or falling rocks in Verwall.
