Great achievements over centuries always require courage, and hiking in the footsteps of the pioneers on the Arlberg on the Mutspuren – a circular hiking trail on the Galzig, also offers fun and games for the whole family!

Play, Learn and Explore

Interactive stations, water play by the reservoir and mountain views: there is plenty to discover along the “Mutspuren” circular hiking trail on the Galzig.

The roughly 5 km trail starts and finishes at the Galzigbahn mountain station. Allow around 2.5 hours for the walk, or longer depending on your pace and how much time you spend at the stations.

We recommend taking the Galzigbahn cable car up and down the mountain. This leaves more time to play and explore along the trail.
