Kaiserjochhaus

The hike to the Kaiserjochhaus begins at the mountain station of the Kapall chair lift. From there, hikers can walk 2 hours on the “unterer Höhenweg” path through alpine terrain to the Leutkircher Hut. Alternatively, visitors can choose the “oberer Höhenweg” path, recommended only for advanced hikers. After passing the Leutkircher Hut, it takes 2 more hours to get to the Kaiserjochhaus. During the entire hike, you will have a wonderful view on the Hoher Riffer mountains, Zwölferkopf and Patteriol. This hiking path is part of the “Lechtaler Höhenweg” and “Adlerweg”. If you want to continue the tour, you can extend the hike, among others the Ansbacher Hut. After a culinary break at the Kaiserjochhaus, you can head back into the valley by foot or take the Gampen chair lift. Hikers can also return by going through mountain meadows and a ravine, to the Nessler Alp. From there, it’s possible to walk on the woodland path that leads to the village of Pettneu am Arlberg.
