Your vacation in Strengen
Spring. Summer. Autumn. Winter.
At the entrance to the Stanzer valley, the village of Strengen at 1,027 meters impresses with its typical Romanesque appearance. Particularly charming are the high-lying farms with lots of wooden buildings, the chapels along the Roman road and the Rosanna Bridge, which dates back to 1765. Due to its good bus connections, the hiking and skiing area around St. Anton am Arlberg, which is a mere 15 km away, is easily reachable for excursions and exploratory tours.
Untouched landscape
In summer, we’d highly recommended you explore, on foot or by (e-)mountain bike, the enchanting meadows flooded with alpine roses around Strengen Especially popular is the tour to the Dawinalm and to the small lakes above, and the Egger Weiher extern also offers peace and relaxation. These natural lakes lie above Strengen in the middle of a particularly tranquil high meadow area.
Originality and naturalness
You can reach the ski paradise of St. Anton am Arlberg by bus in just a few minutes. And If you prefer to climb the mountain yourself, there is an ascent to the Alpe Dawin. Experienced ski tourers enjoy their time out in the unspoilt winter landscape, and then reward themselves with an exhilarating downhill run. A cleared winter hiking trail leads walkers and tobogganing fans to the Egger Weiher extern, a naturally created body of water above the village. And if the conditions are right, you can combine the trip back home with a toboggan trip.
