The Arlberger Mountain Railways backs safety of their guests
The Arlberger Mountain Railways backs safety of their youngest ski guests.
A child safety 6 man chair lift replaces the old Tanzböden lift (T-bar) on Galzig in St. Anton am Arlberg.
The Arlberger Mountain Railway (Arlberger Bergbahnen) has replaced the existing Tanzböden T- bar on Galzig with a new, covered detachable 6man chair lift with the trusted and approved CS10 child safety system from Doppelmayr.
In accordance with the European cable car code, children under the height of 1.25m may only be transported on a chairlift, without any special safety features, if accompanied by one adult per child. Large families and ski schools have faced significant organizational challenges with this. Doppelmayr applied themselves to this problem and developed the worldwide new chairlift model”CS10".
The 6 man chair lift with automatic closing/ opening system and foot rest guarantees the safe transport of every passenger - whether tall or small. Up to five children - from 90cm tall - may be transported with only one accompanying adult.
Sliding out from the chairlift is impossible due to ist special construction. The circa 700m long lift with 30 chairs, all with weather protective hoods, can, at a maximum conveying capacity, transport up to 2.000 persons per hour. The new Tanzböden lift will come into operation for the beginning of the 2013/2014 winter season.
