The current long period of cold weather conditions is very unusual for the time of the year. A low-pressure area has been pushing cold polar air masses to the Alps. The peak of this decrease in temperature will be reached on Friday, whereas the snow line will sink distinctly below a level of 1000 meters. Even throughout the following days, the conditions will not improve and the temperatures will not rise. The wintry weather conditions with showers, ranging between 1100 meters and 1600 meters, will continue on during the weekend. A significant change in weather is also not forecast for next week. A low-pressure and cold air masses will continue to determine the weather.
