Kirschbaum Battle presented by O’Neill – Freeski Action deluxe!

The best freeskiers from all over Austria as well as further nations met at the Kirschbaum Battle 2013 in order to find the best one among them. Not only the rookies and the ladies had some hot battles on the medium line but also the men showed freeski tircks at the hightest level on the pro line! In the final battle Florian Geyer could win in front of his direct competitor Fabian Braitsch and overtook the overall lead in the QParks Freeski Tour!

About 80 freeskiers of all ages met in the STANTON PARK on Sunday, March 17th 2013, for the Kirschbaum Battle presented by O’Neill. For the first time, this was a pure freeski contest and the spectators could once again marvel at best freestyle action at the Rendl Beach.

The rookies battled in 3 different classes of age on the medium line! The local Marco Ladner won in the category Rookie Juniors (1997+1998), in the category Rookie Kids (1999+2000) the local SCA Newschool Team member Sebi Mall could take the victory. Among the youngest freeskiers, the 11-year-old David Wolf from Austria won in the category Rookie Minis (2001 and younger).
In the ladies category the winner’s podium was international! The battles took also place on the medium line – here the Briton Servanne Herant won in front of Malin Lagerstedt from Sweden and Lara Wolf from Austria!

On the pro line, the freeski men showed their amazing battles. They had to prove their best skills on a tube, followed by a kicker with 12 and 15 meters table as well as an Up-Tube and a Wallride in the end! Florian Geyer (GER) won in front of his rival Fabian Braitsch (AT) and Andre Sonderegger (AT). Flo took not only the lead in the QParks Freeski Tour – with his Switch Bio 9 Blunt, he also showed the best trick of the day – congratulations!
