The 'cradle of alpine skiing' is also an attraction in summer. Cycling fans in particular swarm to St. Anton from near and far. Because surrounded by the magnificent mountain scenery and unspoilt nature of St. Anton am Arlberg lie picture perfect areas for mountain bikers and the ideal point of departure for several racing bike tours. Bike sports are a huge theme in St. Anton, exclusively in the summer and autumn. If you want really special supervision you are well advised to stop by during our highlight weeks in August. Professional cyclists will guide you during each stage of the tour and will show you beautiful scenaries in and around St. Anton am Arlberg, and while enjoying the break they will share with you tricks and tips.

 

Racing Bike Week: 7th-11th August 2013
The most beautiful tours all round St. Anton. Unforgettable impressions of the splendid landscapes and modern culture on the tracks of 007. From the imposing lake front theater stage at the Bregenz Festival on lovely Lake Constance all the way up into the eternal ice of the Kaunertal Glacier at 2,750 meters altitude.

 

Participants are assigned to one of three performance groups:
Blue – beginners & amateur bikers: rolling, hilly country side, up to 1000 meters of ascents, tours up to 3.5 hrs.
Red – ambitious hobby bikers: up to 1500 meters of ascents, tours up to 4.5 hrs.
Black – performance-oriented hobby bikers: up to 2000 meters of ascents andmore, tours up to 6 hrs and more.

Arlberger Bike Marathon: Saturday, 24.8.2013
The Arlberg Bike Marathon is a discipline of the legendary and internationally unique mountain triathlon "Der Arlberg Adler" (The Arlberg Eagle). The triathlon consists of a 41-kilometre mountain bike race, a half marathon in July and the cult ski race "Weißer Rausch" (The White Thrill) in April.
