EMERGENCY App: SOS EU ALP

The Notfall App SOS EU ALP (operated by Leitstelle Tirol GmbH) is for emergencies in the Tirolean alpine region. You can transmit your location (via GPS coordinates) to the Tirol GmbH control centre at the push of a button in an acute emergency situation. This determines your location much more quickly and more precisely, which means Mountain Rescue Tyrol can get to you that much quicker than previously. Using the emergency app also establishes a telephone connection to help you clarify your emergency situation, and to offer support to the person involved in the emergency. As soon as you use the emergency app, the required rescue services are alerted and dispatched by the Leitstelle Tirol GmbH. The app is also equipped with a test function, so you can test the data transmission and telephone connection before setting off for the slopes... confident in the knowledge that should you have an accident, using the app will get you the help you need in the quickest way possible.
