Another high-pressure area, approaching from south-west, will spread across the Alps, consequently the bright Indian summer weather will continue on. Harmless, high cirrostratus clouds, which will mark a decrease in temperatures, will hardly interfere with the weather. The weekend promises long sunny spells and pleasantly mild daily highs in sunny locations. Starting next week, the influence of high-pressure will decrease. The centre of the high-pressure area will move to East Europe. Between the departing high-pressure area and the low-pressure area, located over West Europe, a very sunny southerly current will reach the Alps. A stormy southerly foehn wind will build up at the north side of the Alps. Whereas the conditions will remain mild and dry in the north of the main Alpine ridge, compact clouds, bringing precipitation, will accumulate along the main Alpine ridge.
